To Understand Modern Fascism in Ukraine You Only Have to Understand the Past

We all know the story of the “evil” Germans, the NAZIs murdering Jews, political opposition and other unwanted elements. It started in Germany but soon all of Europe was under the yoke of these fascists. The Germans advanced to the East, first Poland of course, but then as it was then called Galicia, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and of course part of Russia.

I’ve written about it before, how easy it was for the Germans to kill Jews in the Baltic States, the same goes for Ukraine and we’re seeing it happen now in a modern version, the victims are no longer the Jews, but their hatred is still aimed at the Russians.

Before the Nazis were welcomed by the many Ukrainians, the Communists/Russians occupied, or rather welcomed by many, Ukraine. But there was a large group of Ukrainians who wanted an independent Ukraine, because before communism came, they were occupied or part of Poland.

The eastern part of Ukraine was conquered by the Russian Red Army in 1921 and in 1922 the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic officially became part of the Soviet Union. The west, including the city of Lviv, was annexed by Poland.

In 1939, the western part of Ukraine also came under Soviet rule. In 1941, the Germans invaded the Soviet Union. In 1954, during the reign of Nikita Khrushchev, Crimea was handed over to the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic as a gesture of friendship between the Russian and Ukrainian peoples, a present so to speak, although, Crimea was inhabited (and still is) by ethnic Russian and Crimea-Tatars.

If you read the information available for Western people interested in Ukraine, much appears to be incorrect or simply omitted, for example books available about the history of Ukraine.

Also, the Western information about the holocaust is not correct, it has been omitted that in the case of Ukraine (also the Baltic States) the majority of the indigenous Ukrainian population were anti-Semitic and helped to destroy the Jews and all other undesirable elements. The “dirty” work of killing the Jews was done by Ukrainian police, rounding them up for destruction. Neighbors reported Jews and others to the police or authorities.

How some Crimean Tatars fought for the Nazis

The Crimean Peninsula was under the German occupation for two and a half years – from
November 1941 to April 1944. While a lot of Tatars defended their homeland as well, a large group of Crimean-Tatars were collaborating with the nazis.

According to the 1939 census, 1. 126, 429
people lived on the peninsula, 49.59% were Russians, 19.43% were Tatars,
and 13.68% were Ukrainians

In Crimea, as well as in the North Caucasus or any other part of the countries they invaded and occupied, the Germans carried out a special national policy toward an ethnic minority, in this case it was the Muslims of Crimea or called the Crimean Tatars. In the autumn of 1941, the volunteers from the Crimean Tatars began to be recruited into the German army. Approximately 30,000 or even much more of the Crimean Tatars were fighting for the Nazis. In 1944 the group was expelled from Crimea, because they were considered the enemies of the USSR, which was correct at that time.

Now we come to the Western version, which falsified a lot of information during the cold war and still do so today according to the Wilson Centre (US) and EU historian research centers:

In 1944, Joseph Stalin formally ordered the deportation of the entire Crimean Tatar community (roughly 200,000 in number), falsely accusing them of collaborating with the Nazis. Stalin’s government forcibly loaded most onto freight cars bound for Central Asia, where they were to be resettled”.

This and of course the denial of the Ukrainian people in the genocide that took place between 1941 and 1944 is what we are now facing in 2023. The real facts are hidden or falsified and are taught in schools and/or by educators in present-day Ukraine and the Western world.

To understand the past and what is happening now

The past

One should not underestimate the practical problems SS men faced when they entered the Western Ukrainian towns during WWII. They did not know the population, the topography, and of course neither did they know the language. Thus, they were totally dependent on interpreters, local administrations or the militias that surfaced in June 1941″.

For instance, in Lviv, it was the Ukrainian National Militia that rounded up the Jews and participated in the violence against them. Numerous survivor testimonies and memoirs describe the arrests and brutality of the militiamen all of them indigenous Ukrainians.

The pogrom of July 1, 1941, in Lviv was not done by the OUN only, al large part in the pogrom activities was done by a military unit in German service commanded by Roman ShukhevychThe Nachtigall battalion, one of two battalions of what the nationalists called the Legion of Ukrainian Nationalists, also called the Ukrainian Bandera legion.

In 2012 stadions were named after these criminals: PhotoLocal governments name stadiums after Bandera and Shukhevych, provoking protest from Israel and Poland | The Ukrainian Weekly (ukrweekly.com)

After the Second World War, many criminal Ukrainians were given asylum in the UK and later emigrated to Canada in particular. The history can be read in the article above.

The biggest propaganda slogan of the Nazis (Germans) to kill Jews and confiscate their property was;

That all communists were Jews and therefore an inferior people and therefore Russia should be totally destroyed, including all the Jews in the world, because they are potential communists

What does it have to do with the current situation and the hatred of the Russians? Everything! Ukraine left communism in 1991, just like all other ex-Warsaw pact countries. Fascism was adhered by about 80% of native Ukrainians but was banned during communism and so many operated undergrounds, although Ukrainian fascists were still able to openly display their ideology in the West such as Canada and the UK.

Most Jews and opponents were massacred during World War II and Jews later emigrated to present-day Israel/Palestine. So, only the hatred on the Russians remained. Unaware of their own history and their pernicious role in World War II, they strove for an independent Ukraine, they still hate Russians especially about the past communism. Knowing that communism has long been abolished in Russia itself, which now has a completely different system and is a modern free state.

This dangerous ideology that we can call modern fascism has spread like wildfire to Europe and the US, who were apparently already receptive to fascism. The same propaganda with a modern twist, which used to be read about Jews, can now be read everywhere on social media, President Putin is portrayed as the new Stalin. The Russians as communist “beasts: that’s why I always say the Russians are the “new Jews” in the 21st century.

Worst of all are the governments and so-called media in Western states who have fomented the new fascism and brainwashed their population with propaganda about Russians and Ukrainians. Goebbels would be pleased with what he would see today!

The West has fallen into a totalitarian digital fascist bloc, which some confuse with communism. Fascism is doing exactly what the current Western governments are doing, demonizing a group and what we are seeing now they (EU) have become a warlike bloc at the request of their colonizer America. Which I have distanced myself from. Some see it in the West, but not too many are blinded by the propaganda carried out in Goebbel’s style!
